CPU usage of the VM is slightly more than SS. I installed BI in a Fusion VM on the same system, and configured it with the same eight cameras. It runs between 300-400% CPU for my eight cameras.
Blue irus stunnel setup pro#
I currently run SS on an upgraded 2010 Mac Pro (12 core, 40 GB RAM).
Blue irus stunnel setup license#
The BI license is good for more cameras than I could ever use. But if I want to add any more cameras, It's a couple hundred more for an SS 16 camera license.
Blue irus stunnel setup upgrade#
It's about $100 for the SS5 upgrade for my 8 camera license. And if I go BI, I'll need another Parallels or Fusion license too. SS has served me well, but with the SS5 release I need to decide whether to pay the upgrade fee or pay for a BI license instead. I'm trying to decide whether to stick with Security Spy or switch to Blue Iris.

Seems like it code be an encoding issue, but beyond my capabilities to figure it out.Hoping this doesn't turn into a Ford vs Chevy discussion. It works if I open in VLC player, but I get errors in Channels and it never opens. These work great.Ĭhannel 003 is rtsp from Blue Iris. I Blue Iris for monitoring all my cameras in one place and there is a consolidated view in Blue Iris that I would like to add as a channel and this is where I am has helped me troubleshoot and get to where I am so far, but I'm stuck with an error that I can't resolve with respect to Blue Iris feed.Ĭhannels 000,001and 002 are all rtsp feeds directly from the cameras. I've added three security cameras as channels which is working great. First of all, I love the new feature of being able to add custom channels.
